I picked up Yggdra Union over the weekend. Likely the last brand new Gameboy Advance game that I’ll ever buy, so it’s a farewell song to the console (not really, I’m playing it in my DS anyway). And what a sweet farewell it is.

PS2 vs PS3 Launch Titles

Oizys and I did some INVESTIGATIVE INTERNET JOURNALISM and dug up the launch titles for both PS2 and PS3 to compare. Here you can see what the PS2 had to offer in it’s launch:

Sony’s Official (PlayStation 3) PS3 Launch Titles: Real

oizys: worthwhile PS2 launch titles: DOA2, Armored Core 2, Summoner, SSX, Kessen, Fantavision (maybe, but only at bargain bin later)
oizys: oh and I heard Ready 2 Rumble Boxing was good
oizys: otherwise, yay, bad racing and sports games galore
oizys: now we have bad racing, sports and FPS games for PS3 instead

Wii Sells 3 Million

In one months time, the Wii has sold 40% the number of consoles that the Xbox 360 took a year to sell. Oh yeah, PS3 might have sold a few consoles as well (one third of what the Wii sold.) The numbers are from VGCharts.org, which of course is “unofficial and in some cases incomplete“, but they are a DOT ORG so I BELIEVE.
