Guitar Hero for the phone!

San Francisco headquartered developer Hands-On Mobile (WPT Texas Hold ‘Em, Duckshot) has announced an agreement with Activision to bring the Guitar Hero franchise to mobile devices.

In a report on USA Today Harmonix co-founder Alex Rigopolus said Rock Band, which is distributed by EA, “takes the core premise of Guitar Hero and expands it tenfold… It lets you create a complete collaborative band.”

I love the Rock Band game idea, and am glad the rumors are finally confirmed. This is a pretty epic deal, two guitars, drums and a singer? That’s a lot of peripherals. I don’t, however, think that the world is ready for mobile rocking.
