A whole year’s worth of episodes in one.

Wow.

Playing songs from all my years of doing this even though I only have 52 shows. I guess that’s what you get for not being regular.

THE ANIME EXPO EDITION! We are prepared for the Anime Expo adventures. We discuss some of the stranger things happening this con, like how there’s a Rocky Horror movie showing, as well as an advanced screening of the Transformers movie. We quickly talk about Elite Beat Agents, how fun it is, and how we’re going to be them. Oizys gets some Pokemon Coliseum, Pokemons, let me show you them. If you’re going to AX, let us know!

Again, the author of On the FastTrack mentions Second Life in his strip. Is he a hardcore player? Why does he keep mentioning it when your average comic reader probably doesn’t understand what the hell he’s talking about. I’ll do some investigating to find out! Chances are I won’t find anything out, but we’ll see.

EDIT: HE’S A FURRY. THE ARTIST FOR ON THE FASTTRACK IS A FURRY. WTF.

Penny Arcade Expo is approaching. I’m pretty much ready to go (registration? i’ll get around to it, i swear!). What fun things will we see/hear/experience there? And what is PAX exactly? I find myself having trouble explaining it. When I say “gaming” people just don’t understand what I mean by ‘gaming’. You can’t make it any more simple than that! And I swear I won’t miss my flight home this time. Promise.

Last night/Today was the airing of the last episode of Death Note. POOLS CLOSED! 4chan /a/ celebrates it with a sticky! I also managed to pick up Volume 12 tonight at Borders. WOOBOY. Guess what I’ll be reading.

We’ll also talk about why Sims 2 is so goddamn fun even after like, 4 years.

Advertality

As a lover of advertising and new media, this interactive advertisement for Blue Dragon absolutely floored me. Not only the idea and execution of it, but the technology and web tracking about this. If I were to go back to college, this type of thing would be my thesis.

It just won the Gold Lion at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival for the Outdoor category so I’m glad this kind of genius is being recognized.

In other advertising news, Sony knocks it out of the park with this so-tasteless-it’s-awesome ad campaign in India:
Number 1
Number 2

Wow guys, just… wow.

Lastly, Zug and I were discussing this guy and phenomenon today. It seems to be a very southern california thing… these guys start off just bored and then turned it into a sport. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it covered on some of those ’soo urban’ sports TV shows. That and I’ve seen dudes totally mess up and wipe, but I haven’t ever seen a bystander get gouged yet - I’m sure it has happened though. We need a character like this in Open Mortal

Gamasutra - Sega, BioWare Partner For DS Sonic RPG

Sega and BioWare (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect) have announced a new partnership to create a Nintendo DS RPG based on Sega’s flagship character Sonic the Hedgehog, due to be released in 2008.

Blizzard does a big deal and curtails some of the excessive prerequisites for being able to play deeper into the game. They basically lower the barrier of entry into the ‘endgame,’ and what that means. We drool over the new Warhammer Online quest concepts that got released: gather quests, Christmas quests, and public quests. Manhunt 2 got an AO rating and that’s very bad for business. Fallout 3: New Fallout 3 Scans - Kotaku

The newest Game Informer has a bunch of new images and info for the upcoming Fallout 3. The folks over at No Mutants Allowed have gone and scanned it all in and posted them on their website for your perusal. I have included five of the pages below, but to check out all of them and read a transcription of the article, head on over to No Mutants Allowed. Or, you could just go buy the magazine and have it to love and cherish as your very own. Flynn De Marco

Look while you can, the scans got taken down from the No Mutants Allowed site!

It sounds so awesome >_<
