So Oizys and I stumbled upon a pretty awesome phenomena: people are sequencing songs in Mario Paint. I gave a good portion of my childhood to this game, be it making animations of genitalia flopping around, playing the fly swatting game, or making music. It’s always nice to know I’m not alone!

Michael Jackson’s Punch-Out!

This guy made a few good ones, check them out.

Some peeps even went so far as to create a music tracker by itself; it allows up to 5 notes per beat, 4 times the song lengths, sharps and flats, volumes, and the ability to save unlimited amounts of songs. Mac only, unfortunately, but one can dream!

Lots and Lots of GDC news, as well as lots and lots of news that’s buzzing around because of GDC. Sony has announced their new and exciting PS3 online environment titled “Home,” and dare I say it, it looks sexy as hell. Compare and contrast this to the newly-announced Lego MMO, (being put out by the people that make AutoAssault!) We estimate the time-until-cock in a lego-building environment. A cool game mechanic in the now-interesting Shadowrun FPS creates symbiotic relationships between players. We chat a bit about this concept, like slaves in Zangamarsh in WoW, The Gathering, a Quake mod, some games in Sims Online.

A Fawlty towers map for counterstrike…
Wow, this really needs to be taken further and make it the front desk versus the customers. Unleash the BasilBots™! WTB full mod where the ‘terrorists’ are actually models of customers and the counter terrorists are the hotel staff… or is it the other way around?

The internet is serious business. No, really. We used it to interview Chris Taylor of Garage Games this week (companion post with audio and transcription here). Our ‘doctored’ up video of Cakeamari Damacy hits the interweb. Ganking and Addiction are serious business in World of Warcraft but television and PURR PALS still beat it up and Honor Kill it. Unreal helps you deal with the Real a little easier, but no amount of FPSing can prepare you for Pinball Construction Set or the awesomeness that is/was Rogue. Also, somewhere during the show Oizys notices that an article about the internet proclaims that it is serious business. See? We don’t lie.
