It comes off a bit like a similar concept of someone reading, say, the Dungeon Master’s Guide for Dungeons and Dragons, and then making up a skit off of an hours worth of reading, but he means well. Like, Warlocks need a lot of dexterity because they’re softies. At least the audience was receptive!
This game looks to be the hardest Shmup ever. At this point, it’s just about memorizing and learning patterns for the boss fights. I can’t see a single place you can be in the second one to live without dying.
On January 15th, 2007, The Burning Crusade was unleashed onto the world. I zipped down to the Fountain Valley Fry’s to get in on some of the excitement. There was around 1500 or so people by the end of the night. They did a good job with keeping people entertained, having a local radio station, and some hotdog and lunchcarts nearby. A Taruen even showed up to do a dance, (we found her myspace here!) After waiting in line for a few hours, we were finally let in, and wisked through the store. Tons and tons of developers were there, and I got tons of sigs on my collectors edition of the box.
Overall, it was actually less packed then. Semi-official numbers say there was no more then 2,000 people there, whereas the original game’s launch had 6,000 people at the same Fry’s. I attribute this to the distributed launch; lots of game store chains were having midnight openings, as well as there being 2 other official release parties, one in San Fran, another in Anaheim, and the last and probably most spectacular, at the Universal Citywalk, where the Wii release was held. Mad props to the Cyberangel, who toughed it out for most of the day on her day off.
1. Download the free Opera Internet browser available at www.wii.nintendo.com onto your Wii game console.
2. Download Orb at www.orb.com onto your on always-on Windows PC at home. It takes less than 3 minutes to do.
3. Turn on your TV and access the Wii main menu. Select the Internet Channel when connected to the Internet and open the browser.
4. Using your Wii remote, log onto your Orb account through Wii at mycast.orb.com. That’s it. Here’s some crappy video I shot with my phone of some Wario Ware footage!
Video of the Penny character, who turns out is actually my girlfriend.
Playing Wario Ware requires you to hold the Wii controller in specific ‘forms.’ Here are three videos explaining various forms. Relish in how utterly pornographic they are.
Watch this while you can, a girl plays Wii in her undernaughtys. You can’t make this stuff up. Regardless, we’re posting this because of the cat, not because of the girl.
Wow, Kotaku snagged an instant interview with her, and it’s really skeevy too. I guess she plays along with the flirting. She must know what she’s getting into if she’s recording herself playing Wii in her PJ’s.

Well someone finally went ahead and made it, and did an amazing job. One of the new races in the World of Warcraft expansion, The Burning Crusade, is the Draenei. Each race in the game has their own special dance they do. The Draenei’s is the mighty mighty Tunak Tunak Tun dance performed by Daler Mehndi. This video is a tribute to the Daler Mehndi music video. Both are included after the jump! (more…)
